Dena Long Krueger, D.V.M. was born and raised in Orlando and graduated from Boone High School and University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She practices part time at Underhill Animal Hospital. Her specialties include integrative medicine and end of life care. With more than 25 years of varied experience, Dr. Krueger has shared her life with many pets and understands how precious they are as family members, especially when it comes to saying good-bye. In home pet euthanasia can be a good option for some pets and their families.
Due to the emotional nature of pet euthanasia, Dr. Dena will discuss all options and help arrange all of the details over the phone with you prior to the visit. On the day of your appointment, Dr. Dena will meet you, your family and beloved pet at the location of your choice. She will explain every step and make sure your pet feels comfortable and safe throughout the entire process.

Services are provided in and around Central Florida. If you are outside of this area, please call or contact us with your zip code to see if we can help you. Price may be affected by drive time.
The cost varies depending on your location and your pet's weight. Prices start at $400. Included in the price is an assessment, gentle sedation and euthanasia. One ink paw print is also included. Additional ink or embossed prints can be purchased for $10. Cremation cost depends on your pet's weight. Group cremation starts at $100. Private cremation starts at $300. A temporary urn is included with private cremation or a wooden urn can be purchased for $95. Please contact us for an estimate.
Sometimes, a pet's condition can be improved or managed with hospice care. Once an assessment is made, Dr. Dena can discuss care options with you. An in-home hospice consult will be charged. Routine veterinary care is not provided.
For an additional fee based on your pet's weight, Dr. Dena can transport your pet for either group or private cremation. If you elect to have your pet privately cremated, your pet's cremated remains will be returned to you in either a temporary urn or wooden picture frame urn. Cremation services are provided by Pine Castle Pet Crematory where you can be assured your pet will be treated with care and respect.
